It is celebrated in the end week of Sura (Javanese
calendar) to commemorate the death of Pusponegoro,
the First Gresik Regent. This event is now opened
for public and held at the Pusponegoro Mausoleum,
the tomb complex of Sunan Malik Ibrahim.

Lamongan
Tutup Playang ceremony is intended
to end the activities of fishermen fishing in the
sea. It is highlighted with offering of steamed
rice cones in the center of fish auction.
