Rujak Uleg Festival

Rujak uleg is one of famous traditional foods from East Java province, especially from Surabaya. Rujak uleg is kind of salad with shrimp paste sauce combined with bean, chili and garlic. While, the salad ingredients are cucumber, bean sprout, water spinach, cake rice or lontong, tofu, soy bean cake or tempe, pineapple and cingur. Cingur is meat coming from the mouth of the cow. On each region, the people have modified the ingredients with different content but it still under the same taste.

The taste of rujak uleg is coming from the importance of the shrimp paste, the better of the quality of the paste, the more delicious it tastes.
